Mobile air conditioner, perfect for the rental market

The robust mobile air conditioner was developed for the rental market specifically, and is quick and easy to install in almost any location. It can achieve a room temperature of 8 °C.

When to use a mobile air conditioner?

This Dryfast mobile air conditioner was developed as a quick and flexible cooling system for temporary use by rental and installation companies, event organisers, building facility management, computer companies, etc. to combat heat nuisance.

Frequent applications include:

  • events
  • conferences and exhibits
  • emergency cooling in control rooms, server rooms, offices and shops where existing air conditioning systems have failed
  • temporary housing
  • backup in critical situation

Indoor unit operation

The mobile indoor unit is a closed cooling system that consists of a compressor, an evaporator and a water-cooled condenser. Refrigerant is injected into the evaporator, turning the liquid refrigerant into vapor via expansion. The temperature of the evaporator drops dramatically as a result. The internal fan blows air over the evaporator, chilling it and thereby cooling the room. Heat stored inside the refrigerant is disposed via the internal water-cooled condenser. To dispose of the warm water, the indoor unit comes with a water circulation pump. Water condenses on the cold evaporator, which is caught in a drip tray and disposed of by a built-in condensate water pump.

More about the hose set

The hose set, available in lengths of 5 and 15 metres, consists of a reinforced water hose to drain the warm water from the indoor unit, a reinforced water hose to supply the indoor unit with chilled water, a condenser water hose to drain the condenser water from the indoor unit and power supply for the external heat exchanger.

Everything is fitted with quick-action couplings and plugs to facilitate quick and easy installation of the hose set and connection to the indoor unit and the external heat exchanger. All hoses are protected with a strong, flexible, plastic jacket.

External heat exchanger operation

This portable external heat exchanger cools the warm water using outside air. The cooled water is then pumped back in to cool the water-cooled condenser in the indoor unit. The condensed water is collected in a drip tray and drained via the external heat exchanger by the built-in condensate water pump.

Example of a temporary setup

The mobile indoor unitBis placed inside the room to be air conditioned, the external heat exchangerA is suspended here via a skylight, outside, using the included chain. The connected hose sets C, connected with quick-action couplingsD, are placed over the suspended ceiling to connect the indoor unit with the external heat exchanger.

The maximum hose length between the indoor unit and the external heat exchanger is 30 metres.

Suitable for spot cooling

An optional plenum unit allows for the attachment of 2 air hoses to deploy this air conditioning set for spot cooling of production machines, large switch boxes, robots, etc.
