In previous blogswe have discussed the use of Dryfast fans to support drying processes, dust control and the removal of dust and gases, but many of our fans can also be used to provide cooling or a cooling effect during hot periods.
Cooling
As long as outside temperatures are lower than inside temperatures, this cooler outside air can be blown in to bring about a temperature reduction inside, for example during the cooler night and morning hours.
Our fans are also used to cool rooms with outside air where a lot of heat is generated during production and industrial processes, such as glass factories, rolling mills, foundries, etc.
Cooling
Without cooling the air, a cooling effect can also be created for people and animals by displacing warm indoor air. With intensive work, but also with higher temperatures, people and animals start to perspire. Transpiration in itself does not have a cooling effect, it is the evaporation from the skin of the perspiration that has a cooling effect. Evaporation requires heat and this heat is extracted from the skin, which therefore cools physically.
Warm periods in our low countries are often accompanied by high relative humidity, so that hardly any moisture can evaporate from the skin. By constantly moving stagnant saturated air, moisture can easily evaporate from the skin and we have created a wonderful cooling effect! Many Dryfast fans have provided relief in hot factories, distribution centres and at events during recent warm years.
What fans does Dryfast have for these applications?
For blowing in or sucking in cooler outdoor air using hoses, all radial and axial fans with a hose connection or that can be fitted with hose connections can be selected, for example the DAF series and the DFV series.

For free intake and discharge application, depending on the room and the desired air volume, we can choose axial fans DFV4500 and DFV7000 or, for larger capacities, our wind machines from the TTW series. For heavier industrial applications, the TTV20000 and the TTV45000 can be chosen.
